Description
Our BKT Blower Fan Kit is designed for the Desa VTC36N gas fireplace insert to circulate air around the firebox and increase heat output. This complete fireplace blower kit offers a low cost solution to push heat created by the fireplace into your living space.
Included with the blower kit: Variable Speed Switch, (rheostat control - like a light dimmer) which you can regulate air flow and any air noise from the fireplace fan and Thermo Switch (Thermodisc), a Heat Sensor which automatically turns the Blower ON after the fireplace heats up and automatically turns the Blower OFF after the fireplace cools down.

Ok, time will tell!
Feels like a solid well made unit. It installed simply, even in an existing firebox. A couple of notes: if you don't have to get the thermostatically controlled unit, then don't! It takes about 20 minutes before the fan kicks on no matter where I place the sensor. It doesn't produce a very strong flow of air even on its highest speed setting, but it's not bad. Also, it periodically has made some squeaking noises that are extremely annoying, I have re-installed a couple of times and hopefully it is fixed. ------------------------------------------- Response From: MyFireplaceBlower- We do now offer a speed module which is based off of time to turn the fireplace on/off, instead of temperature which eliminates the Thermodisc(Heat Sensor). Fireplaces can vary slightly for each particular model, which results in varied amounts of air which come out of the top vent. The airspace of the vent are in different shapes and sizes which effect the flowing air's pathway. Please contact us after your installation if your end results are not what you think they should be.
