Description
Our GZ550-1KT Blower Fan Kit is designed for the Napoleon BGD33NR gas fireplace insert to circulate air around the firebox and enhance heat output. This complete fireplace blower kit offers a low cost solution to push heat created by the fireplace into your living space.
Included with the blower kit: Variable Speed Switch, (rheostat control - like a light dimmer) which you can regulate air flow and any air noise from the fireplace fan and Thermo Switch (Thermodisc), a Heat Sensor which automatically turns the Blower ON after the fireplace heats up and automatically turns the Blower OFF after the fireplace cools down.

Good for the money, but be prepared to tweak a bit
#1: For Canadian buyers:This took just over two weeks to arrive. I ordered via USPS (slowest)but had to pay $25.00 shipping, $15.00 HST plus $10.00 (something CBSA calls 'handling'). #2: The on/off/speed switch is really cheap, but does work. #3: It comes with a bracket to install the thermostat switch, but there really isn't a spot on my Napoleon FP to install it. I had to remove the bracket, increase the length of the wire and mount it using hi-heat gasket goo to the top of the fire box. Overall, still happy (my local dealer wanted $250.00 + HST, so I still saved about $100. ---------------------------------------------- Response From: MyFireplaceBlower- We are looking into why this individual was assessed these fees. Other Canadian customers have not reported this. Occasionally, installing the heat sensor on the side of firebox can be challenging, though this is the set location Napoleon has set as a default position. We do now sell a Speed Module which is based off of Time, not Temperature which would solve this problem. The Speed Module can be substituted in the kit.
