Description
Our GFK-160A Fireplace Blower Fan Kit is designed for Heat & Glo fireplace to circulate air around the firebox and enhance heat output. This complete fireplace blower kit offers a low cost solution to push heat created by the fireplace into your living space.
Included with the blower kit: Variable Speed Switch, (rheostat control - like a light dimmer) which you can regulate air flow and any air noise from the fireplace fan and Thermo Switch (Thermodisc), a Heat Sensor which automatically turns the Blower ON after the fireplace heats up and automatically turns the Blower OFF after the fireplace cools down.

fire replace blower
Very excited about the blower, it took my husband 15 minutes top to install. We watched the video prior to buying and once it came we open the box did as it instructed. Looking forward to a warm and toasty winter,. Last year house was very drafty, hoping this will help the heating bill go down.

good overall fireplace blower
The blower works as advertised. Directions are fairly easy to follow and install. Fan is loud at the higher speeds. The issue I have is the heat sensor. It literally takes 40 minutes after I turn the fireplace on for the sensor to trigger and turn on the fan. I have placed the sensor in 10 different spots but always the same thing. This is way too long. I was told on the phone by tech support it normally takes 12-15 minutes for the fireplace to get hot enough to trigger the sensor. Wish there was a different sensor available.

Love it. Very easy to install (be sure to wipe up any dust/debris in the area where it is installed). Quiet. Only sound is moving air; not, the motor itself. Customer Service with MyFireplaceBlower is easy and friendly.

Not all prewired as claimed did not connect too easy and directions were vague --------------------------------------------------- MyFireplaceBlower Response: Hi Grace thanks for your order! The cord set is pre-wired, but for Heat & Glo there is a specific Junction Box for an Outlet which requires the wires to be plugged into certain ports for the circuit to be complete. We assemble everything as much as possible for this Heat & Glo cord set/Blower kit. Our Heatilator GFK-160A Design Version has all wires connected together.

replacement blower motor for my fireplace
This unit is by far one of the better made units, I have ordered others and they were so loud before I even installed them in the fireplace cavity. It is so quiet and smooth running very nice unit.

Should have installed this blower long ago. Makes the fireplace so much more than something to look at. Used a small fan and ceiling fan combination before, what in the heck was I thinking? This is so much better!
