WFK42 - Warm Majic Fireplace Blower - 69240-45 for Majestic Fireplaces

It came very fast. The base did not line up, it was a little wider than the original. I put the old base from the original fan on it after drilling a few holes. It was an easy install. I would recommend it highly.

HAD TO MODIFY THE MOUNTING BRACKETS AND WIRING A LITTLE BIT BUT BLOWER WORKS AWESOME, BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. THANK YOU!!!!!

While this part was replacement to a 30 year old original blower that was loud and rattled the replacement part fan oscillated at high speed and did not run smoothly. It was a significant improvement from the original blower it was not a perfect replacement. Customer support with this issue was fantastic. Their response was quick and very helpful in trying to resolve the issue. So the fan is 3 stars, customer support is 5 stars!

Better airflow than original Majestic unit, however the speed control (rheostat) is unstable and so the fan speed and noise vary randomly.

The replacement blower fit under the firebox just fine. I had to drill two new holes for the mounting plates but other than that the installation was easy. It seems like an awful long cord on the plug I just tucked it back in under the box. So far the blower moves a lot more air than the original blower.

Bought this unit for my old 80's Kent fireplace insert's external blower box. Dimensions seemed to line up better than the failed unit that was in there before, so I took a gamble and ordered. It fits! Blower is quieter, and since it is longer, moves more air! We'll just have to see how it works over the long run...

This is hard to find for a fireplace insert that has not been manufactured in 25+ years so from that perspective I am giving this an automatic 5 star rating. Nit-Pick all you want...the alternatives are terrible, cheap and really expensive. This unit also is well made and appears to be an OEM design at a reasonable price. The cons...it comes with a 6+ cord which is ridiculously long. The power cords to the motor, not shown in the photo are not well protected and you will need to be very careful not to sever these during installation. The grill penetration on my Majestic was not centered and required some serious grinding to make space for the rheostat fastening nut. Along with an overall paint project to cover the grinding efforts. This also now reveals that the threads on the stem are barely long enough to catch a couple of threads for the 1/4+ thick grill. A longer thread on the stem would be nice in case a few threads on this plastic assembly get damaged....as is it is minimum essential with no room for error. The mounting brackets for my inserts required that I re-drill new holes. This turned out to be a big deal because this was a moving target as this was seated on insulation. So the install was not an out of the box install. It required a bit of effort and some extra small machine screws I had laying around. When operating, there is an annoying whistle at mid range to full air flow. I don't know if that is normal or not...I should call but this seems to go away at low speeds. Bottom line tho...it moves air through the insert and warms the room. So whatever points I take away for the pains required during installation all get added back by the enjoyment we get when this gets turned on. I would buy this again and highly recommend this to friends...
