GFK4B Fireplace Blower Fan Kit for Heatilator NDV4236, NDV4236I Fireplace

It is fairly easy to install, the most difficult part was getting it in place without the backing from the velcro getting stuck before I had it in place. The fan works great and enhances the amount of heat throughout the room. I did have a couple of questions about the installation of the optional remote, but the support from My Fireplace Blower was great.

This blower kit seems to be high quality and the installation was pretty straight forward. It will take some creativity to install the blower in the back of the fireplace due to the small space and gas line/wires, but I installed it in about 30 minutes. That being said, I think the blower has the potential to move a good amount of air into the room, but because the facing of my fireplace is essentially a solid piece of glass and a solid metal frame, there isn’t much space for the air to move through to get into the room. If there is a upgrade fireplace facing that I am not aware of that is more ‘ventilated’ to allow greater airflow, that would solve that problem.

We bought a new home and the fireplace didn't have a blower like our previous home had. Right away we noticed the lack of heat coming from the fireplace. Instead of feeling the warmth throughout the room, we had to sit on the hearth to feel any heat at all. This kit got us warmed up again! Had to try a few different angles to get it into position but once that's done, the rest went quickly. It works perfectly and distributes heat around the room. The medium-low setting is quiet but still moves plenty of air. If you're on the fence, go ahead and order one. It's worth the money!

Great delivery and quality product. Pretty easy to install. Great price. Installers wanted $325 for the blower and installation and I took my time and did it in under an hour. Could probably do it in 20 minutes again.

I would purchase this again. The unit pushes a lot air to warm the room.

The product works as advertised. However, the blower was missing the velcro and damper pads. Also there was no tab for the ground wire connector. So I had to improvise. The blower is extremely difficult to position given there is very little clearance to manipulate it around to the back. I needed to disconnect the controls for the heatilator in order to do so.

If you are thinking about adding a blower to your fire place, finish reading this and then buy this one. It’s a great price, shipped very quickly, arrived very well packaged to prevent damage and with everything needed to install. The instructions were imo very straight forward and easy to follow. It took me maybe 45 min start to finish and that included cleanup. I love the that the heat from our fireplace is actually pushed out into the room instead of just heating up the surround and mantle. Our mantle and all the items on it stay cool to the touch now, when before they would get very warm. The blower noise is noticeable but easily blends into the background noise depending on the speed you select, and moves some decent air. In summary buy this you will be glad you did.

Fan was received well packed with all required components and installation and operational information. Fan was easily installed, runs quietly, and provides much better heat distribution from the fireplace. Satisfied with the operation of the fan at the minimum speed setting.

I was a little skeptical at first, but we couldn't be happier. My wife loves me for getting this installed!!

This blower make my fireplace much more useful. Install was really easy with the provided instruction, also a video tutorial is available. Fan is quiet at ML and L speed. I am glad that I get this one instead of one with the heat senor switch.
