GFK4B Fireplace Blower Fan Kit for Heatilator NDV4236, NDV4236I Fireplace

I am very pleased with the blower fan kit. The instructions were very well written and easy to understand with step-by-step photos and drawings included. All wiring was clearly identified with specific connections shown for each. The speed control allows you to choose a lower speed if you are concerned with noise. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone that wants to save some money by doing it himself.

For the most part things were good however there was one connector missing or not working with the part I had to jury rig to make it work

Very easy install.

This was a cinch to install, even without prior experience with gas fireplaces. All of the wires are labeled and the instructions are a very clear six steps. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase, the ease of locating the correct blower for my fireplace, and ease of installation. Took off one star because I thought it would be more powerful on high. It is adequate, and fairly quiet/not distracting as white noise, partly because it isn’t super powerful. For a small room, this blower would be perfect. For our great room, we really need a heavier duty fan.

It is fairly easy to install, the most difficult part was getting it in place without the backing from the velcro getting stuck before I had it in place. The fan works great and enhances the amount of heat throughout the room. I did have a couple of questions about the installation of the optional remote, but the support from My Fireplace Blower was great.

This blower kit seems to be high quality and the installation was pretty straight forward. It will take some creativity to install the blower in the back of the fireplace due to the small space and gas line/wires, but I installed it in about 30 minutes. That being said, I think the blower has the potential to move a good amount of air into the room, but because the facing of my fireplace is essentially a solid piece of glass and a solid metal frame, there isn’t much space for the air to move through to get into the room. If there is a upgrade fireplace facing that I am not aware of that is more ‘ventilated’ to allow greater airflow, that would solve that problem.

We bought a new home and the fireplace didn't have a blower like our previous home had. Right away we noticed the lack of heat coming from the fireplace. Instead of feeling the warmth throughout the room, we had to sit on the hearth to feel any heat at all. This kit got us warmed up again! Had to try a few different angles to get it into position but once that's done, the rest went quickly. It works perfectly and distributes heat around the room. The medium-low setting is quiet but still moves plenty of air. If you're on the fence, go ahead and order one. It's worth the money!

Great delivery and quality product. Pretty easy to install. Great price. Installers wanted $325 for the blower and installation and I took my time and did it in under an hour. Could probably do it in 20 minutes again.

I would purchase this again. The unit pushes a lot air to warm the room.

The product works as advertised. However, the blower was missing the velcro and damper pads. Also there was no tab for the ground wire connector. So I had to improvise. The blower is extremely difficult to position given there is very little clearance to manipulate it around to the back. I needed to disconnect the controls for the heatilator in order to do so.
