Description
Our FK4 Fireplace Blower Fan Kit is designed for the Heatilator GC150 gas fireplace insert to circulate air around the firebox and enhance heat output. This complete fireplace blower kit offers a low cost solution to push heat created by the fireplace into your living space.
Included with the blower kit: Variable Speed Switch, (rheostat control - like a light dimmer) which you can regulate air flow and any air noise from the fireplace fan and Thermo Switch (Thermodisc), a Heat Sensor which automatically turns the Blower ON after the fireplace heats up and automatically turns the Blower OFF after the fireplace cools down.

Operates silently
Have used the less expensive fan assemblies in the past. They made noise and as demonstrated in their video, the less expensive models were inferior in workmanship and quality. This fan was easy to install and operates without a sound.

Airflow Questionable
The FK 4-unit was matched to the Heatilator model in place and came just as expected. The installation went fine; problem was that the fan unit was roughly 3" high but the lower area was 7" high. Fan output was not sufficient to move any significant volume out the upper plenum. I ended up making a shroud out of sheetmetal to "box in" the fan output. Better but not as it should be. Forced to run fan near high, and make a choice between some fan noise and improved airflow. ------------------------------------------------ Response From: MyFireplaceBlower- Fireplaces can vary slightly for each particular model, which results in varied performance results. Jerry's solution was a good one for his individual situation. This is not the case for a vast majority of Heatilator fireplaces.
