GFK4B - GFK4 Fireplace Blower Kit for Heatilator Fireplaces

Generally good construction and seems to work OK. However, my instruction book said to attach the green wire to the grounding screw. There was no screw. The online instructions said to attach the green wire spade connector (which mine had) to the grounding lug. There was no lug. I ended up attaching my own green grounding screw and all went well from there. Motor is slightly louder than I would have liked, but not too bad. ------------------------------------------------------------- MyFireplaceBlower Response: The "Green" Wire has a female disconnect on the end of it which slides onto a ground tab which is affixed to the blower.

This blower works. It took only 10 minutes to install, after watching a YouTube video of the installation. I didn't need the enclosed instructions after watching the video. The enclosed jumper cable to engage the power for the blower on my panel is nice. The blower starts up after getting to temperature and stays on for a few minutes after shutting off the flames until it cools down. Recommended.

The product was exactly as advertised. It appears to be made with a high degree of quality. Installation was very. The installation took less than 10 minutes to complete. The unit worked fine upon initial start up however it's summer here in Phoenix so it hasn't gotten much use. Would recommend this product and the seller.

This fan is very easy to install in about 30 minutes. It does a great job forcing warm air from the fireplace into the great room. It wasn't too loud.

Order came to home promptly. Easy to install. A heatilator is a nice feature in any home, just flip a switch and you have a fireplace in your home. Without this fan, your heat output is perhaps 10%, if what it will be after installing this fan. So you might as well take advantage of the heat your firebox produces.

This product was easiest install ever as everything was complete with the right connectors and instructions. The blower mounted fine with velcro tape. The thermal switch mounted with magnets and I experimented with a few locations. No soldering or splicing or making connections. Afterwards it worked exactly like i expected it to.

Very satisfied, makes a big difference vs. not having a blower at all. Our Heatilator did not come with a blower. I called before ordering to confirm the product worked with our model fireplace and the phone support/sales was excellent. Blower arrived much faster than expected and was packaged well. I initially mounted the blower the wrong way (would have been avoided if I read the manual closer) as I was so used to looking at the product pictures and wasn't familiar with such a fan but even with that it installed in about 5 minutes start to finish. Blower is generally quiet. Full blast it is audible if the room is silent but not obnoxious. Turning it down just 25% makes it nearly silent. If you have a TV or other activity in the room, then you will likely not hear or barely hear the fan even at full blast.
