This GA3450TA Fireplace Blower Fan Kit is compatible with the DESA fireplace. Included with the blower fan; (ON - Off) toggle switch: to control the fans operation. Combine this activation switch with the automatic power activation of a Thermo Switch (Thermodisc) included in the blower kit; you have a low cost solution to maximize the potential of your fireplace by circulating the hot air created by your fireplace into your living space.

Blower fan kit
More accessories than we needed for our olderDesa fireplace, but it functions perfectly. Sadly, it's louder than the original, but works fine.

Decent
Holes drilled don’t match several mounting points but self tapping screws work fine. It is louder at full speed than the one it replaces but connecting the speed control unit is restricted by space in the fireplace.

Fireplace Blower
This product is superior to the one we replaced. It circulates the warm air enough to prevent our furnace from turning on so frequently and works great with our new HVAC system.

Replacement blower motor for gas logs
Perfect fit, except for a little rewiring of the switch. The old one only had "off" "on" & "automatic" functions, the replacement had "off" & "on" with a speed control knob. There was no location for the speed control knob, that was assessable with the length of wire provided. Extending the wires to locate the knob was not difficult, but could prove problematic for someone less able to figure out where and how to relocate it. You may want to include: (1) Instructions on how to locate the speed control, and, (2) a pre fabricated wire extension with connectors, with the kit. Ov erall I am very satisfied with the product.

Very quick delivery!!!! Very easy to install but a little more Noisy than my original blower.

We like the blower fan very much. The variable control is a nice addition.
The fan comes on later than the original. When it is colder, it works better.

Worth it
A bit loader,but worth the exchange for a bigger blower which will let me use less LP gas because it blows out more heat rather than it collecting in the fireplace.
