Our GFK-160A Fireplace Blower Fan Kit is designed for the Heat & Glo 6000TV-OAK gas fireplace insert to circulate air around the firebox and enhance heat output. This complete fireplace blower kit offers a low cost solution to push heat created by the fireplace into your living space.
Included with the blower kit: Variable Speed Switch, (rheostat control - like a light dimmer) which you can regulate air flow and any air noise from the fireplace fan and Thermo Switch (Thermodisc), a Heat Sensor which automatically turns the Blower ON after the fireplace heats up and automatically turns the Blower OFF after the fireplace cools down.

Excellent
Ordering was easy and clear. The blower arrived promptly. Excellent build quality. Clear, simple instruction for assembly and installation. I installed in about 30 minutes. Worked straight away. Finally some warmth from our fireplace.

GFK-160A FIREPLACE BLOWER FAN KIT
Installation was easy because of clear instructions and there were no mismatches between the product and my fireplace. This is the way instructions *should* be written. Needless to say, then, that the blower fan worked first time I turned on the fireplace (after 8 minutes of warmup) . After a full day on, it ran for about an hour before the temp sensor was cool enough. Folks have raised the issue of "sound vs air movement balance". You can definitely hear the blower on full, but the TV on average volume pretty well masks it. This is subjective... here are some emperical numbers taken in my quiet home except for the appliances operating one at a time. I using the NIOSH SLM app on my iPhone and tape measure: Quiet room, 35dB Microwave 12' from my ears, 40dB Range hood on High from ears, 54dB Range Hood on Medium, 45dB TV on typical volume at 10', 56dB GFK-160A on lowest setting 10' straight out from fireplace, 35dB (barely noticable) GFK-160A on middle setting, 38dB GFK-160A on highest setting, 44dB. (Yep, I'm an engineering geek!)

The product was great - exactly the same as the old one, but for less than half what the local store wanted for the exact same unit. The person I spoke with on the phone when I made the purchase was very helpful. Shipping was also at no charge. It is amazing what deals can be found on the Internet by reputable companies.
