Loading... Please wait...If you have never had a fireplace blower installed in your fireplace insert before or you need to replace some of the accessories for your old fireplace blower, then you are going to need to get a fireplace blower kit.
A Fireplace Blower Kit is also referred to as (Forced Air Kit, Forced Air System, Fan Kit, Fireplace Kit, and Blower Kits).
Most Fireplace Blower Kits include:
1) Blower or Fan
2) Variable Speed Control (Variable Speed Switch, Rheostat, Speed Control)
3) Thermodisc (Thermal Switch, Thermopile, Fan Temperature Sensor Switch, Snapstat, Thermal Element Sensing Disk, Thermostatic Activator, Thermo Disk)
The Blower Kit is typically plugged into a Junction Box (Fan Receptacle) which has an electrical outlet plug built into it.
If your fireplace insert does not have a Junction Box, the fireplace blower power cord can be connected to a standard electrical outlet.
Installation of fireplace blower kits is simple and easy in both wood burning fireplace and gas fireplaces. Wood burning fireplace blowers and gas burning fireplace blowers work in the same manner. Wood burning fireplaces can have both a Convection Blower and a Combustion Blower, the fireplace blower kits shown below are Convection Blowers for Fireplaces.
